For 2025, we will target the $300,000 dollars allocated to this program to support Vermont non-profit organizations experiencing adverse impacts to their work and their communities as a result of federal actions.

Requests for funding may be submitted at any time throughout the year and will be evaluated quarterly or sooner. We will consider requests for up to $15,000.

Priority will be given to organizations that work with immigrants, refugees, LGBTQ+, low-wage labor organizers, and racial justice.

Applications should address needs that have arisen as a direct result of federal actions and policies. We will consider requests to help with preparation and planning that could include legal support, tax reporting and accounting support, security needs, deportation defense, etc.  Because our grants are small and our funding so limited, we are not in a position to offer grants to fully backfill the loss of federal funding.

DEADLINE:
Applicants may submit a request for Rapid Response funding at any time. However, once funds are depleted, the program will close.

We do this by:
ENGAGING EMPLOYEES

As a foundation that advances grassroots leadership, we strive to model that approach in our own operations. Working with the company, the Foundation creates opportunities for Ben & Jerry’s staff members from across the organization to learn about our funding priorities and to participate in the grantmaking process.

Giving to Vermont Communities

Through our Vermont grant programs, we strive to support and enhance the well-being of Vermont and Vermonters – giving back to our home state and the communities where we live and work.

Supporting Social Justice

Our national grant program supports grassroots organizations & movements throughout the U.S. working to change unjust, underlying conditions in order to bring about a more equitable society.
