As investors, we accelerate innovation to support equity-centered solutions that improve the mental health and well-being of young people.

Adolescence is a time of remarkable opportunity, yet young people often face enormous barriers to their well-being. From societal pressures to systemic injustices, they navigate formidable challenges during this pivotal phase of growth and discovery. We see investment in today’s equity-centered solutions as a critical pathway toward building a future where young people live joyful and purpose-filled lives. We believe that change-makers with lived experience are best suited to lead their communities and build solutions that result in successful well-being outcomes. That’s why we invest in and partner with those who are committed to advancing the mental health and well-being of Black, Brown, Queer, low-income, and other underserved young people. These communities are traditionally under-resourced and face significant health disparities. Through these investments, we seek to create conditions in the market where solutions that address the unique needs and challenges facing today’s young people create lasting positive impacts for future generations.

Investment Criteria

  • Health Equity - We prioritize founders who are building solutions that are intentionally inclusive of Black, Brown, Queer, low-income, and other underserved young people.
  • Youth Focus - We invest in companies building scalable solutions designed to improve the mental health and well-being of adolescents (ages 10-25). This age group does not need to be the sole population the company serves but needs to be a core focus area.
  • Lived Experience - We support founders with lived experience among the communities they aim to serve, whether that is a shared demographic affiliation, experience with the conditions the company is treating, or some other relevant life experience that makes them uniquely well-positioned to understand the needs and propose impactful solutions.
  • Stage - We typically invest from Seed to Series A and in companies demonstrating early evidence of product-market fit and efficacy, such as traction with several paying customers.
