Blue Ridge Labs: Catalyst

In an increasingly digital world, tech-based solutions are key tools to address real-world problems, like poverty. Blue Ridge Labs is Robin Hood’s poverty-fighting innovation lab, focused on supporting, incubating, and scaling community-driven tech solutions that address the problems of people experiencing poverty.
Blue Ridge Labs supports tech-driven solutions to poverty by providing funding, access, and community through three cohort-based programs.
- Catalyst: Catalyst is a 5-month accelerator program that provides founders the capital, connections, and proximity to communities in poverty to make real change.
We offer up to $100,000 in investment, and for non-profit ventures, this comes as a recoverable grant. You'll receive tailored coaching in finance, product, sales and marketing, and engineering. Gain access to our Design Insight Group—a community of 4,000 New Yorkers with lived experience. Join a diverse, close-knit group of founders and benefit from BRL’s collective knowledge and support.
The program is open to founders from anywhere, but one of the founders must be in New York during the program which runs from February to June. Your business should already be serving, or have a strong interest in serving, low-income communities in NYC.
Robin Hood elevates New Yorkers out of poverty by funding, supporting, and connecting high-impact community organizations, partnering with government, and advocating for what works so that New York City can be an engine of upward mobility for all.
